What is Melanotan 2?
Melanotan 2 is a synthetic peptide typically used to increase skin pigmentation and achieve a tanning effect. Created by US scientists in the 90s, it proved popular in bodybuilding circles for its ability to give a deep, natural tan. Further studies on Melanotan 2 have revealed additional benefits, including enhanced weight loss due to appetite suppression and increased libido. These studies have shown that Melanotan 2 looks to be increasingly beneficial for both men and women experiencing sexual dysfunction, overtaking its tanning benefits.

Key Benefits

Increased Skin Pigmentation
Appetite Suppression
Improved Libido
Anti-inflammatory

Increased Skin Pigmentation
Melanotan 2 is most commonly used for its ability to provide users with a deep tan without extended sun exposure. It does this by stimulating the body’s natural production of melanin, and users can typically start to see results after the first week.
Appetite Suppression
A growing benefit of taking Melanotan 2 is its ability to suppress appetite by activating the melanocortin receptors in the hypothalamus area of our brain. This can lead to weight loss benefits for users.
Improved Libido
More recent studies on Melanotan 2 reported a response in increased sexual arousal in men, including those experiencing sexual dysfunction. This is due to its ability to increase activity in the MC4R receptor, making it a promising option for more mainstream treatment of erectile dysfunction in the future. Additionally, preliminary studies show promise in boosting sexual desire in females, too.
Anti-Inflammatory
Melanotan 2 is being further researched for its potential anti-inflammatory benefits, particularly its ability to alleviate symptoms of fibromyalgia. This makes it a promising prospect to use in treatment in the future.
How Does Melanotan 2 Work?
Melanotan 2 is a liquid peptide, so it must be injected subcutaneously, typically on a 2-day cycle. It works by mimicking the natural melanocortin in our bodies and stimulating the hormone a-MSH. This hormone not only regulates our skin pigmentation but also plays a role in our sexual functions and is found in the hypothalamus, thereby affecting our appetite as well.
Why Choose Melanotan 2:
Melanotan 2 is stronger than Melanotan 1; therefore, it is particularly popular among bodybuilders. Many in the bodybuilding industry will know that show prep can often affect sexual desires and function. Melanotan 2 can provide natural tanning and combat low libido with minimal effects for short-term use.
Who Can Benefit?

Bodybuilders: Melanotan 2 can help bodybuilders achieve and maintain a natural, deep tan without spending excessive time in the sun or using tanning products.
Those with sexual dysfunction: Increases libido and helps with erectile dysfunction.
Those desiring weight loss: Melanotan 2 is effective for short-term appetite suppression.

How to Buy Melanotan 2
When making a purchase, it is crucial to select a reliable supplier that prioritises both purity and quality. Always verify third-party testing certifications to confirm the peptide’s authenticity before buying. Ensure the products are lab-tested, with verified CAS numbers and molecular integrity, to guarantee their effectiveness.
Final Thoughts
Melanotan 2 has long been recognised for its natural tanning properties, but it’s no longer just a peptide for those who like to tan; Melanotan 2 shows incredible promise for those experiencing sexual dysfunction. Furthermore, newer studies have uncovered additional benefits for users, with ongoing research still being conducted to further support these findings.
